August club 5k handicap.

A small but closely fought race with Veronica coming out on top.

We had four first timers, with Tristan and Helen M joined by two new runners, Wendy and Hadley. Coming into the final straight Tristan was in third place, but finished strongly to beat Wendy and Helen in a time of 24.00. Helen and Wendy finished very closely behind.

In the main run, Veronica, Jo and Emilia all set PBs, with Lucy and Mark W beating their previous times. Lucy is SO consistent, she will soon break the 35 minute barrier. Well done to all who took part, plus Sandra, Tina, Harriet and Steve for helping.

September will unfortunately be the last on the summer course, we’ll aim to finish off in The White Horse next month.
